Market Tote

Are you looking for a project that is easy but looks stylish?  The Market Tote is the class for you.  A stylish bag with leather handles takes this handmade bag to the next level.  Show off a bold print or make a classic bag to go with everything.  This class is suitable for beginners.  We will provide the machines you will need to bring your fabric.   Please have items cut out prior to class.   If you want a quilted bag, you must do the quilting prior to class. 

Materials needed (based on 44” fabric)

• ½ yard exterior fabric
• ½ yard lining fabric
• ¼ yard for pocket
• ½ yard fusible fleece, or Bosal (this will make a stiffer bag)
• 1 ¼ yard fusible interfacing (Pellon SF101 or similar)
• ¼ yard Peltex Ultra firm stabilizer (for bottom of bag) or similar
• 2 – 25” leather straps (available for purchase at Schiller’s)
• Market Tote Pattern (available for purchase at Schiller’s)
• Thread to match
